If shellfish is more your thing, the Belgian Beer Cafe in Melbourne offers an alternative Australia Day cake-hole shoving event. Three heats run throughout the day, with a final at 5.10pm. Steer clear if you’re a spectator, we reckon this one could get pretty messy!
Unfortunately, Australia Day 2011 was the last time this event was run, and there are no further plans to run the event in the future.
